Over 26,000 Gray Whales pass by Nootka Island on their journey from Mexico to Alaska thru March and September. Esperanza Reef is a frequented feeding ground for these majestic mammals of the sea, many with young along side.
Odds are very favourable that you will see a whale while your comfort and enjoyment is also our goal. You are always able to sight porpoises, seals and sea lions.
