Kayaking
Glide in silence through protected waters of Hecate Channel and McBride Bay. Or on safari, your guide will take you along the scenic coastlines of Nuchatlitz Marine Park with wind blown foilage on rocky faced, mini islands. And only the majestic call of bald eagles or peep of the oyster catcher to break the silence.
Your other senses will marvel as you dip your paddles to bring you closer to that seal, sea otter or pod of whales who have ventured into the calmer waters inside Esperanza Reef. Jagged caves are carved along the steeper shores of the rocky bluffs opening to warm sandy cupped beaches to pull up the hulls for a hearty lunch.
Esperanza Inlet offers more for the adventurous kayaker to explore. Paddle Catala Island Marine Park or Mary's Basin. Both offer breathtaking opportunities of this unique area and wildlife. We offer transport with kayaks to these areas. Kayaks are also available for those who want to simply experience a paddle around the lodge.
